Tiuku winning BOB in Hämeenlinna.

Kiira handled by Kata in Hämeenlinna. Excellent from Junior class.

Kiira has super brindle pattern; dark clear stripes on orange background. Unfortunately it looks pale on very strong sunlight.

Last weekend (June 28th) Tiuku was entered in national show in Hämeenlinna. It was Tiuku's 10th show ever, and she'll be 5 years in next December. Tiuku (Ch Dakarai Tingeling) surprised me happily by winning BOB! Unna (Dakarai Pillow Talk) went 4th best bitch and Kiira (Dakarai Pick A Flick) got also excellent rating. Our puppies Bea (Dakarai Beyond Belief) and Sting (Dakarai Beg N'Steal) were BOB and BOS -puppies. Judge for the day was Mrs Agneta Kappes from Sweden. Really lovely and truly basenji friendly lady.

Today In Tuusula national show it was Ani's (Dakarai Q'Ute) turn to be BOB-puppy and Sting was again BOS puppy. Bea went 2nd with HP. Tosca (Dakarai Almond Kiss) got excellent in intermediate class. Thank You KirsiA for handling Bea, and Maria S for handling Tosca, Ani and Sting so nicely!

Tosca BOB with CC in Kemiö

June 13th Tosca (Dakarai Almond Kiss) was shown by Maria in Kemiö Groupshow. She went BOB with CC under judge Leni Finne. Also Hippu (Dakarai Pin n'Needles) was entered in same show and she was 2nd best bitch with res-CC!

There have been lack of time to gather photos together from our specialty.

I'm going to do that later. We had a great time with many international and domestic friends. Thank you all!

Dakarai basenjis had a really nice success in Finnish Basenji Specialty 2009 under Mrs Kay Eldred (Jebelmarra basenjis, Australia).

Q's (Am SunDiata's Different Equation) kids cleared the table in puppy ring. Q's son Hanishan Quiet Zone went up to BIS-puppy, and her litter sister H. Que Sera Sera was BOS. Our own Ani (Dakarai Q'Ute) was 2nd best female puppy (5-7 months).

In older puppies (7-9 months) Bea (Dakarai Beyond Belief) was first with HP and went 2nd best female puppy in show, and her sister Hertta (Dakarai Burning Sun) following her as 2nd in class with HP. Ansa (Dakarai Byzance Pearl) was 3rd. Big brother to these girls Dakarai Beg N'Steal (Sing) went 2nd best male puppy in show.

Unna (Dakarai Pillow Talk) was best brindle female in show. And Unna's brother D. Piece of Cake aka Pajson (from Sweden) was 2nd best brindle male in show.

Dakarai breeders group (I showed all brindles!!) was BIS-3 from 5 different groups!

On June 6th we showed in Estonian Winner 2009.

Unna (Dakarai Pillow Talk) competed in intermediate class with excellent rating. But unfortunately at this time she felt a bit tired after travelling (her first trip) and she didn't place in the best bitch competition. Pinja (Dual Ch Dakarai Jamili Lina) won in champion bitches, and placed as 2nd best bitch with res-cacib.

Our darling Bea-baby (Dakarai Beyond Belief; 7 months 4 days) went up to "BIS-6" puppy: she was shortlisted among the 6 best puppies of the show, but in the end no placing for us.

On the next day, June 7th we took part in an estonian group show for FCI 5 group. Pinja was awarded with Estonian CC, and it qualified her as a new Estonian Ch. She was 4th best female. Baby-Bea went this time up to BIS-2 puppy! WOO HOO!
