Dakarai Burning Sun in Seinäjoki INT

Hertta entered in Seinäjoki INT show. She was wonderfully handled by Tiina Vesterinen and placing was really nice => excellent and 4th best female. This time we had as a judge a whippet breeder from Sweden, Mr Magnus Hagstedt.

Last weekend Fin Lure Coursing Ch, Fin Track racing Ch Dakarai Jamili Sharab won in Helsinki track racing competition. Hero, Dakarai Au Chocolat was 2nd!! Way to go Kongo and Hero!

Lyyli came in season on September 24th. We are still waiting her high season and time for breeding. If we are lucky she will be bred during next few days... or during next week. Read more about the becoming and very interesting breeding: http://www.dakarai.com/pentuja_2009.htm

I have got puppy fever. For some time I've been planning an excuse to keep on of the pups at home.... Heart says YES, and common sense NO (common sense = my hubby)... grr...

Lure Coursing in Helsinki, Sept 27th, 2009

We have got some really good coursers during this season. Here is one of them, Unna (Dakarai Pillow Talk). Unna was entered only 2 times in LC competitions and in her first race she was 2nd with CC, and now she was #1 with another CC. Amazing!

Unna's litter sister Kiira (Dakarai Pick A Flick) has also CC's from shows and one CC from track racing. Hippu (Dakarai Pins N'Needles) has got few CQ's from LC as well during this summer. She has excellents from showrings.

...and here is another excellent young runner in our team, Hero (Dakarai Au Chocolat). Hero became 2/9 with CQ in Helsinki LC competition on last Sunday. Way to go Kerttu & Tuomas!


...and here is one of our brightest stars BOTH in racing and coursing, Kongo (SMM-08, Fin KVA-r, Fin KVA-m Dakarai Jamili Sharab).
Kongo is already a dual champion from LC and track racing. Two of Kongo's litter sisters have CH titles from coursing/ track, and 3 of them are also show champions. In this competition Kongo was 8/9.

Porvoo All Breed show, Sept 14th, 2009

In Porvoo all breeds show we had a really warm weather. What a great day to finish our show summer! Now we are having a small brake...

We showed 4 basenjis, and 2 of them got excellents (Bea & Ani) and other two got very goods.

Bea (Dakarai Beyond Belief) won BOS junior, with res-CC.

Dakarai beeders group was 3rd with honour price.

Äetsä All Breeds Show, Sept 13th, 2009

Bea (Dakarai Beyond Belief) was entered in FCI 5 group show in Äetsä.

Basenjis were judged by Mr Pekka Teini who fell in love with Bea. Bea won her 3rd CC in one month, and she placed as BOS.

Vantaa all breeds show, Sept 5th, 2009

Ani (Dakarai Q´Ute) was shown first time "in adult classes" (junior) and she surprised us: Ani won the bitches (12) and got her 1st CC, and was also BOS!! ;-)

Tervakoski INT show

A couple of weeks ago we were showing in Tervakoski International show with our juniors (who were not able to receive cacib) and with nearly 5 yrs old Sella. Basenjis were judge by MrGeir Nordahl Pedersen (Norway).

Littersisters Ansa (Dakarai Byzance Pearl) and Bea (D.Beyond Belief) were both awarded with excellents, and Bea got her 1st res-CC.

Tessa was shown first time in puppy classes in our Specialty and now last time. She finished her puppyhood with style being BOB puppy! Her mother Sella (Fin, Est CH Dakarai Thumbelina) went up to 3rd best bitch. Pinja (Fin, Est Ch, Fin Racing Ch Dakarai Jamili Lina) got very good because of her heavy weight.

Our not-so-even breeders group was 3rd with honour price. It's nice to practise stacking close to each others. Mainly dogs are too tired to show themselves in breeders group after long show day.
