Today we showed 3 or our basenjis in Rauma all breeds show. Showring was more or less wet and muddy, but somehow we managed...

Q, SunDiata's Different Equation won Ch class (4 males entered) and in best male competition he placed as 2nd best male with res-cc. This was Q's 5th in row... :-D

Stripey girls Kerttu (D. All Fudgey) and Kiira (D. Pick A Flick) got also excellents, and Kiira was 4th best female.

Pajson (D. Piece of Cake) was shown also today, in Sweden. He placed 4th best male. Congrats Ulrika!


Taru brought little Tessa to show ground to have some 'real' practise - well Tessa, Dakarai Quintessa, seems to be already well showtrained, by Taru. Thank you so much Taru for your efforts!

Yesterday in Hamina all breeds show, we showed Unna (Dakarai Pillow Talk) and Tosca (Dakarai Almond Kiss). Basenjis were judged by Dagmar Klein from Slovenia. She was very strict, and only 2 bitces of 8 got excellents (don't remember how it went with males) and Unna was the other one. She placed 2nd best bitch and got her 2nd CC. Tosca was 2nd in her class with 'very good'. They both got nice critiques. Well done girls! :-D

Today some of us took part in show training and some others were training LC; after trainings Sting, Ani, Q, Tosca, Hero, Unna, Piitu and an lovely azawakh youngster Yosal met in a dog park and played along with few afghans and other basenjis too. Tiiti wins CC from LC

Great weekend in Lure Coursing!!

On Saturday Tiiti (Dakarai Jamili Titi) and her littermates Kongo (Fin Rc Ch Dakarai Jamili Sharab) and Pinja (Fin Ch, Fin Rc Ch Dakarai Jamili Lina) were invited to 'Suomi Cup 2009' lure coursing competition.

Tiiti placed 2nd and wins again a CC, and now she needs only one which qualifies her as Fin LC CH and at same time dual champion. Way to go Tiiti! Congratulations to owners Marja and Hannu! Kongo placed as 3rd, and Pinja as 5th.

In another LC race, on Sunday, our yougsters did very well: Hero (Dakarai Au Chocolate) ran first time in real competition and he ran superbly, like we expected: Hero got 491 points in this first competition. He placed 2nd; loosing only 3 points to winner. This was also first competition to Tiiti's room mate Hippu (Dakarai Pins N'Needles). She was 5th and was titled as Varsinais-Suomi Kennel District winner 2009!

Way to go kidz! We are very proud of you all!

News from puppy show

On Sunday we had a marvellous weather and great company in Hollola puppy show.


Our whole B-litter was entered and also 5 months old Ani (Dakarai Q'Ute) from Q-litter. This was Ani's first show, and she did sooooo well: She placed as best female puppy and was BOS to her half brother Tupla (Hanishan Quiet Zone). Both are sired by Am Ch SunDiata's Different Equation.

Ani was wonderfully handled by her owner Pauliina! :-D

Last Saturday Tiiti (Dakarai Jamili Titi) got her last racing CC in her first possible competition. This qualified her a new RC CH. Congratulations Marja & Hannu!
